How can we go through a Simple Assumption Process?
I am in the middle of a simple assumption process due to a death with Bank of America. So far, I have sent a copy of Last Will & Testment, Death Certificate, Probate records for state of real property.. Meanwhile, communication is poor and only when I initiate. they indicated a letter of intent would be coming but nothing yet afte 3 weeks, what should I expect? How can I educate myself on the end to end process, set realistic expectations. I am currently making the house note and am hoping this will eliminate the need to completely refinance. It is a Fannie Mae loan, FHA if that matters.
